The quilting rang a bell with me. I have been quilting with the walking foot for almost everything for a while. But I made a quilt with panel that was going to me too much twisting and turning of the quilt under the arm of the machine. I bit the bullet and went with free motion and it worked out OK. I guess free motion will an option for me again, at least for a while yet.Ruthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08438689262084152248noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1228319710577550585.post-35437153699848541782021-01-10T20:16:02.759-05:002021-01-10T20:16:02.759-05:00What a treat it is to re-visit this most amazing q...What a treat it is to re-visit this most amazing quilt of yours. I could look at those flowers for hours and just smile. The piano key board border is truly inspired! Your quilting of course, is perfect. Such a glorious find when you happened upon this fabric. In some way, those fabulous flowers have a vintage feel to them.Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14782099930159071920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1228319710577550585.post-57424166023525084632021-01-10T15:13:45.716-05:002021-01-10T15:13:45.716-05:00What a great use of that large print, and delighte...What a great use of that large print, and delighted you found just the right fabrics for the border!QuiltGranmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09225951118220180796noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1228319710577550585.post-18741554632842896612021-01-10T09:25:30.553-05:002021-01-10T09:25:30.553-05:00Very bright, so happy, absolutely simple and just ...Very bright, so happy, absolutely simple and just perfect. Sometimes it is best to leave the fabric as is and do the minimum. But deciding when to do less takes a lifetime. Clearly you, with decades of experience, know that. A beautiful finish to begin the year. We can all use positivity and this quilt is just that :-)Preetihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15363550140143647850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1228319710577550585.post-15295711846348529452021-01-09T14:52:45.967-05:002021-01-09T14:52:45.967-05:00It turned out beautifully, well done you!It turned out beautifully, well done you!Jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13596754983215564299noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1228319710577550585.post-69661577654583272232021-01-09T11:03:24.868-05:002021-01-09T11:03:24.868-05:00Janine, this is beautiful. The border is perfect - I think the colors are really lovely. Excellent finish - I love it.Bernie Kringelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00753481379287809548noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1228319710577550585.post-24856952258413030182021-01-09T10:35:03.136-05:002021-01-09T10:35:03.136-05:00That's such a pretty quilt! I've quilted a quilt from the back side, using the pattern in the fabric as the quilting motif, but never thought of using the front-side print (storing that idea away...)<br />Your new project looks interesting! Looking forward to watching your block collection grow!Jannettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11650623703551449681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1228319710577550585.post-54135689127844050542021-01-09T08:25:40.380-05:002021-01-09T08:25:40.380-05:00Oh my gosh Janine this is glorious! I love everything about it - the colors are so harmonious, the quilting is just right, that backing is perfect. I've never thought about using a whole piece of fabric for a quilt, but now I'm inspired!Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17786068334983762178noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1228319710577550585.post-29065147828461521012021-01-09T05:33:36.867-05:002021-01-09T05:33:36.867-05:00So colourful, I love it.
